A 3-part knockout qualifying saw both the Shell V-Power mustangs make it through to the second session. With Anton De Pasquale in the No.11 She’ll V-Power Mustang qualifying P16 and Will Davison in the No.17 Shell V-Power Mustang qualifying P12.

De Pasquale moved up the grid 7 places, finishing Race 9 in P9. Davison suffered from electrical issues which saw him finish P23.

DE PASQUALE - QUOTE

"Saturday at Perth done. It was an average qualifying for us, we were kind of just battling with a little bit of extraction from the new tyre and we were just kind of on the cusp of the back end of The Ten, but heading into the race the race car set up was a bit stronger than the quali car so I was able to move forward a few spots and get back into The Ten. All in all we had a decent recovery but we will be aiming for more tomorrow."

DAVISON - QUOTE

"Obviously an incredibly tough day, very very disappointing to have an electrical issue with the throttle in the race when it looked like both of us were going to finish in the Top Ten; we were line astern there. So, it wasn't the easiest day with qualifying and the balance we had in the race, but the important things on days like that is to maximise it and we were both on our way to finish in the top ten which would've been a good result considering we've been struggling with our balance. So, to then have that taken by something electrical is just a huge unfortunate loss of points."
