THE Shell V-Power Racing Team was the pick of the Ford brigade at the end of Friday practice at The Bend 500, the opening race weekend of Supercars’ Enduro Cup.
Friday at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park consisted of three 30-minute sessions, the second of which was devoted to co-driver running.
Practice 3 proved the fastest of the day as teams carried out new tyre runs on low fuel, when Brodie Kostecki set the fourth-fastest time of the session aboard Car 17 to be the quickest of the Mustangs.
Rylan Gray also sat inside the top 10 until the closing moments but still ended the day 13th fastest and within half a second of the fastest time of the day.
Our co-drivers also did a stellar job in Practice 2 with Todd Hazelwood second fastest in Car 17 and Tony D’Alberto fifth in Car 38.
The Shell V-Power Mustangs are back on track on Saturday at 10:20am AEST (9:50am local) for the first of a pair of 40-minute practice sessions followed by Qualifying and the Top 10 Shootout, which set the grid for Sunday’s race.
