A massive Queensland crowd was on hand to witness a wet and wild day of racing on Sunday in Ipswich.

THE DETAILS:
The day began with a quick-fire qualifying session which saw Brodie Kostecki qualify through to the Top 10 Shootout in a provisional fifth place. Will Davison was unable to break the ten, starting the day's solo race in 18th.
The Top 10 Shootout saw a mix of results, with some drivers able to use new Dunlop tyres to catapult themselves forward. Kostecki was on used tyres and put in an impressive time to finish 6th.
Once the race got underway, rain would throw the first curveball at teams - drivers forced to navigate their way around the 'paperclip' on cold slick tyres. The rain wasn't heavy enough to force the Shell V-Power Mustangs onto wet tyres, and both used their skill and experience to make some impressive passes through the field.
Race Control handed out plenty of penalties throughout the 63-lap affair which would ultimately fall in Kostecki's favour, seeing him end the race in fifth.
After further penalties were applied down the order, Davison ended the Sunday encounter in 16th.
