October 31, 2025

Shell V-Power Racing Team (Dick Johnson Racing) has secured one of Australian motorsport's brightest young talents, with 2025 Super2 Series Leader Rylan Gray joining the team to compete in the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship alongside Brodie Kostecki.

The young gun made history in 2024 as the first race winner in the Ford Mustang GT4 outside of North America, and in addition to being the youngest ever Super2 Series round winner at Bathurst in 2024, he has embarked on a wildcard campaign in the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship.

"This is my dream opportunity. Brodie's one of the best in the business and having him as my teammate will fast-track my development. I'm under no illusions about how tough my rookie year will be, but I'm ready to work hard and learn from everyone at the Shell V-Power Racing Team," Gray said. "I'm so thankful to the Doc, Dick and Jillie Johnson and the Ralph family for this opportunity."

The decision to bring Gray into the fold represents a strategic shift for DJR, with Executive Chairman Dr Ryan Story AM emphasising the team's confidence in the young driver's abilities.

"Rylan has earned this opportunity through results," Story said.

"We're investing in the future here. Brodie gives us proven championship-winning pace and pedigree, and Rylan represents our commitment to developing the next generation. This combination positions us perfectly for both immediate competitiveness and long-term success. We're not in the business of coming second – we're building a lineup that can win in 2026 and in the years to come."

The team has structured a comprehensive development program for Gray's rookie season, with a focus on consistent finishes and progressive improvement across the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.
