There was action aplenty on the streets of Townsville on Saturday, including both drivers featuring in the Top Ten Shootout.
Kostecki started the day's solitary race in sixth, before enjoying plenty of entertaining battles throughout the 70 lap encounter - ultimately finishing in fifth.
Davison meanwhile was involved in an early clash with Will Brown, the latter receiving a penalty for their tangle which forced Davison into the pits for an early pit stop and cruelling his chances of a strong finish.
Despite that damage, Davison was able to put in an impressive fightback in the remaining laps, making his way up to 13th in a solid recovery drive.
Qualifying, a Top 10 Shootout and a final 200km race awaits drivers on the streets of Townsville on Sunday.
