Brodie Kostecki has extended his Repco Supercars Championship lead claiming victory in Saturday's opening race.
The #17 Shell V-Power Mustang rolled out with the orange numbers for the first time and after a dominant performance in Saturday's first race, Kostecki led from lights to flag.
Meanwhile, Rylan Gray powered through the field after a disappointing qualifying. Gray made up nine spots in the opening race, banking valuable points.
Following Saturday's first race, the Shell V-Power Racing Team now sits in third in the Teams' Championship.
One more race will make up Saturday's action, with that outing to finish the weekend at 3.30pm NZST (1.30pm AEST).
Sunday's racing has since been cancelled due to the impending cyclone in New Zealand, meaning Christchurch will now feature four races next weekend, instead of the pre-planned three.
