A 3-Part knockout qualifying saw both De Pasquale & Davison eliminated after Q2, starting Race 20 in P13 & P14. The completion of Race 20 saw Davison move up 4 places to finish P11 and De Pasquale move up the grid 3 places to finish P9.

DE PASQUALE QUOTE

“Day 1 at The Bend done, didn’t all go completely to plan obviously with getting bumped in Q2 into Q3, so that was a bit of a shame. But we moved forward in the race, which was a bit hectic at the start, but we sort of chipped our way forward and we will try to do better tomorrow.”

W. DAVISON QUOTE

“The 2-day format is always an extremely busy day for everyone, it’s always tricky to make up any ground because we don’t have time for changes, so you’re sort of stuck with what you start with – set up wise. Qualifying was obviously disappointing, we were looking good there sitting first early in Q2, we thought we’d hold on and save a new set of tyres for Q3; so we didn’t expect to get bumped out, which was obviously very disappointing. In the race, we moved forward, which is all we could have hoped for starting P13. It was a straightforward race, avoided the incident at the start and had a great pitstop from the team. So lots to look at tonight and lots to improve on for tomorrow.”
