Wilson Security Racing / DJR went into Race 9 of the 2014 V8 Supercars Championship with a degree of confidence following David Wall’s superb fifth place in Race 8. Changes made to the cars were expected to continue this good form but once again the Winton track threw up some curved balls for the teams in Pit Lane. As soon as the 25 cars were let loose for Qualifying the grip levels the track had shown on Saturday fell away and both DJR drivers were complaining of a severe lack of grip after the morning session.

Two thirty four lap races kicked off proceedings at the Winton 400 today and the action was thick and fast. Wilson Security Racing finished the day with a superb fifth place for David Wall in the second race and a strong run by Scott Pye to finish just outside the Top 10.
