Dick Johnson turns back the clock at the historic Leyburn Sprints

Jim Beam Racing patriarch, Dick Johnson, finished 3rd in class in a 1971 Ford Escort and 1st in class in a 1971 Ford Falcon XY GT during the historic Leyburn Sprints held in Leyburn, Queensland this past weekend, August 23-24. During this two day event, spectators and competitors were treated to an array of sprint racing classes including open wheelers and sports cars of various engine capacities and ages. The 1100 meter circuit which plays host to this annual event winds around the houses and through the heart of Leyburn.
